More Dried Flowers, Less Impact

Lamboo Dried & Deco can now calculate the CO2 footprint of its dried flowers. The question, «How sustainable is something really?» is becoming increasingly important in our society. In collaboration with Greenhouse Sustainability, we have gained in-depth insight into the sustainability of our products.

What’s the result? Our dried flowers have a low CO2 footprint, which means they have minimal impact on the environment.

Trendy Bouquet Vibrant

Our trendy Vibrant bouquet, made up of various dried flower types and colour schemes, has a CO2 emission of just 0.53 kg. This figure encompasses everything from sowing the flowers to harvesting, drying, packaging, and preparing for transport—essentially from cradle to gate. This CO2 footprint is comparable to making a cup of coffee with milk or sending an email with an attachment. The average CO2 footprint of a bottle of wine is 1.3 kg CO2, while that of a chocolate bar is 1.78 kg.

Sustainability First

But that’s not all! We use Dried Flower Based Paper made from our own dried flower waste, and we do not use plastic—only cardboard and paper tape. Additionally, we operate with 360 solar panels and energy-efficient LED lighting, further reducing our ecological footprint. Elements such as local cultivation, long shelf life, responsible and non-refrigerated transport, and biodegradability all contribute positively to the low environmental impact of our dried flowers.
