There are many reasons why dried flowers are a sustainable choice. The main one is the length of time they last. A perfect match for the flow interior movement. Most of our flowers and stems are grown here in Holland. For the minimal products we import, we always use sea containers as a sustainable method of transportation. All our dyes and paints are water-based, and our sources certified, wastewater is also treated in our water purification plant. With 360 solar panels on the roof of our facility in the Netherlands this is almost sufficient to supply our electric power demand.
Waste is the key pollution in our society; therefore, we have developed initiatives in the field of packaging, including, bio-degradable glitter. When it comes to packaging, we always consider the environment. As standard, our bunches are packaged into recycled cardboard boxes without extra wrap or plastic and are then sealed with paper tape. For individual packaging we offer the following options: Kraft paper, plant-based plastic transparent sleeves, a mix of kraft and plant-based sleeved fronts, or the more decorative paper sleeves. Paper tape is also used to secure the bunches in the sleeve.
Issues such as Corporate Social Responsibility and respect for people and the environment are embedded in Lamboo Dried & Deco’s culture. We adapt our range step by step to a more sustainable level. In this development process it is important that the characters of Lamboo Dried & Deco quality as well as the market- base price will be engaged.
From our environmental policy we are working on a continuous improvement of the environmental performance by controlling and reducing the environmental load. Besides focussing on our own activities and staff, we also want to challenge clients and suppliers to do the same.
